Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven sales leader to lead and scale one of our most important national retail partnerships. The Key Account Director is responsible for driving long-term business growth across both in-store and online channels, while building organizational capability required for future scale.

The ideal candidate brings proven senior leadership experience with deep Lowe’s expertise and a well-rounded commercial background across sales, product, customer development, and channel leadership. This individual will possess broad experience leading across complex retail environments and diverse customer groups, with the ability to connect product strategy, channel execution, customer engagement, and organizational capability into scalable business outcomes.

Most importantly, this role requires a proven people leader with meaningful experience leading and developing sales organizations. The successful candidate must bring depth of leadership experience including coaching teams, developing talent, driving accountability and building high performing organizations capable of scaling beyond current business needs.

The Key Account Director will serve as a strategic business leader and player coach who can lead through complexity, influence cross functional partners, and elevate team performance. This role will lead account strategy, customer relationships, business planning, and cross functional execution while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth and strengthen partnership across both in-store and online channels
  • Lead the long-term growth strategy for the business, identifying opportunities to scale the account, expand market share, and elevate organization capability
  • Manage account-specific growth programs to maximize ROI and drive sales growth & trajectory.
  • Lead across multiple areas of the business, integrating product strategy, sales execution, channel management, customer development, and operational planning into a cohesive growth strategy
  • Oversee multiple sales channels and business segments, leveraging broad commercial expertise to drive integrated growth strategies and operational efficiency
  • Develop and maintain strong executive-level customer relationships, bringing deep understanding of Lowe’s business, priorities, merchandising processes, promotional planning, and retail dynamics.
  • Utilize data, analytics, and market insights to inform strategic decision-making, identify growth opportunities, and proactively address business risks
  • Collaborate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process in partnership with internal stakeholders to optimize forecasting, inventory management, allocation strategies, and overall business performance
  • Provide strategic leadership within the evolving retail landscape, identifying competitive trends, category opportunities, and innovation strategies that support long-term growth
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales organization, building bench strength, succession capability, and a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performance team environment while developing talent capable of advancing both within and beyond the organization.

Qualifications

  • University Degree or College Diploma preferred, or equivalent of relevant commercial leadership experience across sales, product, and channel management
  • Extensive commercial leadership experience across multiple business functions, including sales, product/category management, customer development, and channel strategy, with demonstrated success leading complex national retail businesses
  • Deep expertise managing and growing the Lowe’s account, with strong understanding of customer structure, merchandising processes, promotional planning, retail operations and strategic priorities
  • Demonstrated success leading diverse teams and complex businesses across multiple sales channels, product categories, and customer segments within a large scale retail environment
  • Broad diversity of customer experience across national accounts, retail channels, and customer groups
  • Proven people leadership experience leading and developing sales organizations, including coaching sales teams, building high performing teams, driving accountability, and developing talent at scale
  • Experience leading through complexity and ambiguity, with the ability to build scalable processes, elevate organizational capability, and drive transformational growth
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on operator in a fast paced, highly matrixed environment
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, presentation, and strategic planning capabilities with the ability to translate insights into business outcomes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, CRM systems, and sales analytics tools preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 - $215,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
