Job Description
Our Motor Repair Technician’s work in a fast paced technical service environment and work independently with safety in mind. The Technician will perform synchronous and asynchronous servo motor repairs, evaluations, updates, and conversions in a timely and efficient manner. Fully function test each unit repaired, run under load when applicable, order necessary components and properly document work orders. The objective is to maintain a short turnaround time, high quality standards and decrease customer downtime.
The position will:
- Troubleshoot and repair product
- Convert product
- Evaluate returned product
- Prepare and write technical repair reports
- Update product in stock per quality requests
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Work occasional overtime and weekends
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma Required
- Must have a minimum 1+ year of experience repairing servo motors.
- Must have a minimum of 1+ years using hand tools, power tools, oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters.
- Safety glasses and safety shoes must be worn
Preferred Qualifications:
- High level of mechanical aptitude.
- High voltage experience including voltages up to 480 VAC 3 phase and 1,000 VDC.
- Able to work with high amperages up to 250 amps.
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
- Work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Robust electrical and mechanical background.
- Previous soldering experience.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Ability to use MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
