Job Description
- Responsible in SMT paste printing and glue process to develop, optimize processes for new product introduction/ development and sustaining product engineering activities based on proper studies (e.g. Design of Experiment, risk assessment, equipment & process capability).
- Generate and maintain the standardized work documents.
- Ensure that the respective area workstation and system are well maintained in operation condition.
- Define equipment preventive maintenance plan in close collaboration with maintenance team. Provide training on machine maintenance, operation and processes when necessary.
- To assist in major machine breakdown troubleshooting.
- To participate in new product development discussion and contributes ideas and comments for PCB assembly and process technology.
- To participate, setup and review traceability for respective area and improve timely.
- To be the Data Owner of the processes under care and set-up of a proper Data Management for Data Visualization and Analytics.
- Responsible for process & yield improvement, cost reduction and cycle time reduction. Apply statistical method, systematically problem-solving tools (e.g. fault tree analysis, 3x5xwhy, DOE, 6- Sigma, Kepner Tregoe) or management tool (e.g. System CIP) to get desired results.
- To work closely with CoC (Centre of Competence) team to comply, standardize and improve processes via PFMEA and VVts/DMDs.
- Conduct equipment capability studies and evaluate processes. If needed, prepare ROI analysis and arrange supporting purchases.
- To achieve the department goal through continuous process improvement activities.
- Provide support in process and line audits, technical advice request from project team.
- Product engineer for the model assigned
- Any other assigned by immediate supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- At least 5-8 years practical experience in SMT module process.
- Expertise in engineering principles to perform complex line quality troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience in SMT manufacturing (equipment & processes).
- Expert in most SMT paste printer and glueing machines (Printer: Dek, Ekra, MPM and etc / Glue dispenser: Camalot, Asymtek and etc)
- Able to work independently, align with team goals, and lead by example.
- Flexible, cost-conscious, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Communicates effectively with cross functional teams, management teams, and customers.
- Prioritizes, organizes, and summarizes information based on severity and criticality, provide potential impacts and proposing alternatives.
- Good in English communication and written skill.
- Good in technical paper presentation with data/chart oriented.
