  • Bosch first started its operations in Vietnam in 1994 and registered a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2008. According to the business strategy of Bosch in Vietnam, from 1st July 2014 on all business entities were merged into Bosch Vietnam Co. Ltd. with its head office at Ho Chi Minh City plant (HcP) in Dong Nai Province.
  • HcP has started its belt assembly in a rented building on 1st August 2008 as the assembly plant of Tilburg Plant (TbP). On 14th April 2011, HcP celebrated the inauguration of the new plant (Lth101 with 17,000 sqm), which did not only allow to increase the production depth, but also to facilitate the push belt assembly of this high-tech product. On 3rd July 2012 HcP marked a big milestone by starting to produce the second component (loop-set) for its push belt. Since November 2012, HcP doubled the production floor space and increase the net total floor space up to 56.000 m², and have successfully increased its production capacity and realized a lot of new line SOP’s.

Job Description

Position Summary

The Maintenance Intern will support the Maintenance Department in planning, programming, and improving maintenance scheduling activities. The role involves assisting with preventive maintenance planning, updating maintenance data, supporting system improvements, and learning hands-on maintenance processes in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating, updating, and optimizing maintenance schedules (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Support preventive maintenance planning and follow-up of work orders.
  • Use programming skills to automate simple maintenance tasks, such as data processing, report generation, or alert systems.
  • Maintain and update maintenance databases, equipment history, and spare-parts information.
  • Assist maintenance technicians during troubleshooting or routine maintenance activities when required.
  • Analyze equipment downtime and propose improvements to reduce repeated issues.
  • Support the team in preparing maintenance reports, KPIs, and documentation.
  • Participate in improvement initiatives such as 5S, TPM, and digitalization projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma/University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance concepts (preventive, corrective, troubleshooting).
  • Programming skills (e.g., Python, VBA, SQL, or simple automation scripts) is a strong advantage.
  • Familiar with Excel/Google Sheets; knowledge of maintenance software (SAP PM, CMMS) is a plus.
  • Analytical and team-oriented mindset, good problem-solving skills.
  • Well-organizing, detail-oriented, proactive with great willingness to learn new things.
  • Support hands-on tasks in the workshop or production area
