Job Description

The Plant Controller is a key role within the Controlling department, responsible for supporting the financial and operational performance monitoring of the production plant and contributing to data-driven decision-making.

Working in a dynamic and international environment, this role requires a strong analytical mindset, a proactive attitude, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Production, Operations, Sales, and Technical departments.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Prepare and support the creation of periodic financial and operational reports.
  • Ensure data accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
  • Monitor plant performance through key KPIs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support the presentation of results to management.

Budgeting, Forecast & Variance Analysis

  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor deviations between actual results and planned targets.
  • Provide detailed variance analysis and support corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate data collection from production departments, ensuring deadlines and data quality.

Business Planning

  • Support the definition and monitoring of the Business Plan.
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to the preparation of high-quality presentations for top management and headquarters.

Cost Control & Efficiency

  • Monitor industrial costs and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Analyze production efficiency (e.g., Weekly Efficiency reports).
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

Project & Strategic Initiatives Support

  • Participate in cross-functional projects, providing financial and analytical support.
  • Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives.

International Collaboration

  • Interface with plants and country units on a global scale.
  • Support process standardization and data quality improvement.
  • Work effectively in a multicultural and evolving environment.

Qualifications

Education

  • Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management Engineering, Statistics, or related fields.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems or controlling tools is a plus.
  • Good understanding of industrial KPIs and financial analysis.

Languages

  • Fluent in Italian.
  • Fluent in English (minimum B2 level).
  • German is a plus.

  • Structured and results-oriented approach.
  • Proactive attitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
