The Bidadi Plant (BidP1) of Bosch Limited, located in Ramanagara, Karnataka, is one of Bosch India’s key manufacturing hubs for advanced powertrain and sensor solutions. Job Description

The purpose of this position is to translate deployed strategy, business requirements into technical inputs to establish value stream capable of fulfilling needs of customer / stake holder expectations, continuously enhance value stream efficiency to achieve operational excellence.
Capacity & Process Development: Assess customer short-mid-long term demands against existing & planned manufacturing capabilities, translate gaps into technical requirements e.g. MAE, space, manpower, infrastructure etc, in order to plan & execute business processes & ensure capability to sustainably fulfil customer demand.

Valuestream Planning : Derive inputs from internal & external requirements (e.g. BU,Plant, VS, BP, customer), synergise with true north and VS vision, adapt current state VSM to develop a future state VSD with focus topics collaboratively with internal stakeholders to raise VS efficiency levels and achieve operational excellence.

Product & Process Quality Assurance : Derive inputs from customer technical requirements, QMS to review & archive the documented description of product realisation infrastructure & processes (e.g. Control plan, PDM) required for monitoring and controlling the manufacturing process to assure and sustain defect free, reliable and safe product.


Change & Project Management : Analyse existing and proposed VS flow, processes and targeted states (cost/pc, localisation, digital transformation) evaluate & propose projects for approval. Organise and execute approved
projects with collaboration of functional verticals to raise performance levels and effectiveness.

Business Continuity Management : Identify, evaluate internal & external risks to manufacturing processes, infrastructure & deliverables. Define, conduct periodic review & simulate contingency plans according to evaluated risk & impact to customer to ensure production continuity and fulfilment of customer requirements involving CFT.

Problem Solving & Corrective Actions : Compile & assess deviations to defined standards in manufacturing (processes, quality complaints, FPY, defect cost, safety incident). Define and organise necessary activities to control non-conformity as well as remedial measures to permanently fix issues & limit impact to the customer and business result.

Networking & Stakeholder Engagement : Engage and develop professional partnership with internal (functional, expert, IPN, purchasing, commercial) and externals (suppliers, solution providers, technology experts) teams to develop and sustain new manufacturing concepts (MAE, tools) and improve efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing
methods.

Reporting & Visits : Compile, organise and represent manufacturing performance data and insights to lead systematic understanding of influences and aspects in Value stream as well as support different levels
of hierarchy in taking well-informed and strategic calls to Awareness, transparency and management

Competence Development : Obtain competencies in the functional area based on present and future trends as per the business requirements Competency management
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical or Industrial engineering
  • Masters in Engineering in relevant streams (desirable)
  • Post Graduate Master's in Business Administration (desirable)
  • Certification in Statistical tools, Operations management, Data Analytics, Agile methodology
  • (desirable)
     

Experience  :

  • 5-8 years of process planning activities in Auto component manufacturing industry
