Role Overview

As a Data Quality & Governance Expert, you will be responsible for:

·       Driving the technical implementation of the data governance framework based on the data management and governance policy with special focus on data quality, metadata, and data cataloging.

·       Defining and establishing a standard for data management and governance for Powertrain Solution (PS) organization and include different aspects like enterprise requirement, technology drivers, economics, business policies and data processing need.

·       Designing and implementing a cross-system concept to safeguard data quality. Developing, implementing, and establishing a data quality process.

·       Identifying, analyzing, and solving data quality use cases from different domains.

·       Defining and implementing business rules, data quality rules, cleansing rules with a data quality solution.

·       Defining data quality KPI’s together with the data stewards, creating dashboards and data quality monitoring.

·       Data Profiling with the data quality solution.

·       Consulting the data stewards, business units, plants, and teams in data quality, data governance, metadata management and data catalog topics and in building/improving the data management for their use cases.

·       Expert and contact person for the data quality and governance tool and topics for the Powertrain Solution (PS) organization.

·       Education: University degree (master’s degree/diploma/PhD) with focus on data scientist, data quality, information technology or comparable education.

·       Personality: Team-minded, open to learn, independent, strong communication and coordination skills.

·       Working Practice: agile mindset, high level of self-motivation.

·       Experience and knowledge: Experience and expertise in the data governance and quality field in an automotive context or in comparable industries.

·       IT-Skills: Experience with data quality solutions, data catalog solution, query languages (SQL), python, java, Databricks, Data warehouse, MS-SQL Databases, SAP (optional), Power-BI, SaaS solutions, AWS, Azure.

·       Languages: Very good English skills- both written and spoken, good German language skills (optional).
