Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities :
The focus is set on advanced simulation of vibration and structural mechanics.

  • You will have to develop improved modeling strategies for vibration of automotive and industrial components.

  • You’ll have to leverage your skills and knowledge of vibration mechanics and numerical methods to perform the required simulations.

  • You’ll be required to perform the necessary scripting, coding and linting tasks for various related 3D multi-physics models.

  • Furthermore, for efficiency and accuracy improvements as required you’ll have to combine physics-based models with AI/ML approaches.

  • You will work in international teams and perform necessary development/implementation to accomplish the tasks.
     

Qualifications

Educational qualification:

PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace or any other engineering, science or interdisciplinary stream where the candidate has very good knowledge of vibration mechanics, structural mechanics and simulations from top Indian institutes (IITs, IISc, NITs etc.) or from top international institutes with good academic track record and research publications related to:

  • Vibration mechanics

  • Structural mechanics

  • Computational engineering

Experience :

3+

Mandatory/requires Skills :

  • Excellent knowledge in vibration modelling, solid & structural mechanics is non-negotiable

  • Excellent fundamentals of numerical methods and algorithms especially Finite Element Methods is non-negotiable

  • Excellent programming skills in python is non-negotiable

  • Proficiency in Abaqus tool

  • Good understanding of ordinary and partial differential equations

  • Hands on knowledge of Deep learning, Physics informed machine learning, Reduced order models etc

  • Good presentation and communication skills

Preferred Skills :

  • Experience in C/C++ and with simulation tools like Matlab, Simulink will be an added advantage.

  • Application knowledge in at least one of the Bosch product areas mobility, industrial technology, consumer goods or energy and building technology
