Job Description

The Sales Data Science & Analytics Intern will support the Bosch Americas Region Sales Support Team by applying data science and analytics techniques to real-world business challenges. This role is designed for a highly motivated undergraduate student with strong analytical skills and an interest in using data to drive commercial decision‑making.

The intern will work closely with sales, strategy, and operations stakeholders on projects such as market volume planning, warranty data analysis, and digitalization of reporting processes. This position provides hands‑on experience with enterprise data, modern analytics tools, and business‑critical use cases in a global industrial organization

Key Responsibilities

  • Support market volume planning and forecasting activities by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and regional demand drivers.
  • Perform warranty and quality data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that can support sales, product, and business decisions.
  • Design, build, and enhance dashboards and reports using Power BI and related Microsoft analytics tools to support sales leadership and regional teams.
  • Assist in data preparation, validation, and transformation using tools such as Power Query, Microsoft Fabric, and Excel.
  • Contribute to digitalization initiatives, including automation of recurring reports and improvement of data transparency and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Document analysis methods, assumptions, and results to ensure clarity, repeatability, and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Data Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Power BI (dashboard creation, data modeling, or visualization).
  • Basic understanding of data analysis, statistics, or quantitative methods.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain analytical findings to non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Power Query, or similar modern data platforms.
  • Experience with programming or analytical languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Coursework or project experience related to forecasting, time series analysis, or business analytics.
  • Interest in sales analytics, market analysis, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Prior internship, co‑op, or project experience involving data analysis or reporting.
