Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn Finance and Controlling Intern to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in a corporate finance environment. The intern will support the department with essential data management, reporting, and administrative tasks, developing foundational skills in finance and controlling.
Qualifications
Data Management Support:
Assists with accurately encoding and maintaining financial data in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
Supports the management and updating of financial databases, learning to ensure data integrity.
Financial Reporting Assistance:
Learns to create and format standard financial reports using MS Excel.
Assists the controlling team by pulling data for analysis and preparing materials for presentations.
Document Handling and Organization:
Gain practical experience by collating official receipts and supplier invoices, and learning to match them with supporting documents.
Supports the team in scanning, filing, and organizing financial documents to ensure they are easily accessible.
Helps maintain the department's physical and digital filing systems.
Administrative Support:
Provides general administrative support to the Finance and Controlling team.
Assists in processing expense reports and tracking documentation for accounts payable and receivable.
Performs other duties as assigned to support the department and gain broad exposure to its functions.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including a solid understanding of functions (like VLOOKUP), pivot tables, and charting.
Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks effectively.
A proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred:
Basic understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
Familiarity with any accounting software is a plus, but not required.
