Job Description

  • During your working student assignment, you will play a key role in actively contributing to the development of innovative, next-generation brake systems within our dynamic system engineering environment.   
  • You will precisely identify dependencies, correlations, patterns and system interrelations within different HW and SW components.   
  • Moreover, you will actively collaborate with system, component, and validation engineers throughout the entire development process, from early concept phases to successful implementation in series product. 
  • Through your application of key system engineering methodologies, you will ensure consistency, traceability, and robustness of concepts and requirements across all system levels.  
  • Your area of responsibilities includes contributing to the development and enhancement of monitoring and diagnostic concepts for future brake systems. 
  • Finally, you will support the analysis and evaluation of measurement and validation data using tools such as MATLAB, or comparable data analysis and visualization tools. 

Qualifications

  • Education: studies in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field in Engineering or Natural Sciences   
  • Experience and Knowledge: proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); good comprehension of system-level cause–effect relationships across mechanical and software components; basic understanding of vehicle brake systems; background in data analysis is an advantage   
  • Personality and Working Practice: you are a system-oriented individual with the ability to analyze cross-disciplinary component interactions (HW/SW) on different system levels, demonstrating initiative and an autonomous work style   
  • Work Routine: your on-site presence is required   
  • Languages: very good in German and English 

Additional Information

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 12 months – 10 h/week
