Job Description

Project Context

As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a key role in the mechanical construction design of heat pump outdoor units, including the refrigerant circuit.
You will contribute throughout the full product development cycle, from concept and supplier collaboration to mass production and market release, ensuring high-quality, manufacturable, and robust mechanical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical constructions for heat pump outdoor units, including refrigerant and structural components;

  • Collaborate closely with internal and external suppliers across the entire supply chain;

  • Specify new components, including material selection and tolerance chain calculations;

  • Ensure designs meet internal quality standards and support efficient and reliable assembly on the shop floor;

  • Support industrialization, mass production ramp-up, and product market release activities;

  • Work cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines to ensure system integration;

  • Apply a results-driven and hands-on approach to problem solving throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

Required Profile

Technical Skills

  • Experience in the design of structural metallic parts, plastic parts, and tubes in an industrial environment;

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD design, preferably Siemens Unigraphics (NX);

  • Experience in component specification, material selection, and tolerance chain calculation;

  • Solid knowledge of materials engineering;

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods;

  • Knowledge in the design of refrigeration and hydraulic components and systems is an advantage;

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, preferably Teamcenter (Siemens PLM Software);

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote).
