Job Description

Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to ensure all DSP lines are properly set up and operated efficiently, with tasks handled promptly and accurately. This includes line setup, safety oversight, 6S adherence, training, productivity tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives using Bosch Production System (BPS) tools. The Team Lead is also responsible for reviewing and updating workplace instructions as processes evolve and ensuring all work assignments—both system and manual—are completed effectively.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assign and coordinate work across DSP lines via the work queue. Set up each line for production, lead and coach team members, and ensure all processes and WPIs are followed. Prioritize work efficiently to meet customer expectations.

  • Troubleshoot inventory-related issues including pallet discrepancies, order delays, and product flow challenges. Implement CIP/BPS tools to streamline processes and eliminate waste.

  • Monitor 6S compliance, line audits, and workplace cleanliness. Conduct regular floor checks to identify and resolve deficiencies promptly. Maintain accountability for all supermarket locations and DSP line setups.

  • Track attendance, productivity, and accuracy for team members. Conduct evaluations and performance appraisals in a timely manner. Participate in assigned projects and initiatives.

  • Ensure all PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) inspections and TPM activities are completed. Submit work orders as needed for safe and efficient equipment operation. Communicate effectively with Customer Service, Receiving, and Quality to expedite orders.

  • Provide hands-on support to the DSP team with daily operational needs and assist in problem-solving on the floor.

Scope of Role

  • Direct Reports: 10 hourly employees

  • Supervisory Responsibility: Performance coaching, work assignment, daily oversight

 

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of WCS and JDA systems, along with a solid understanding of Bosch Production System (BPS) or similar lean manufacturing principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email applications is required. The role demands strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop others. Candidates should demonstrate sound decision-making skills, the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly, and a data-driven approach to problem-solving. Prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse operations is essential, with previous leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is hourly $22.1180- $26.3304. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
