Job Description

As an intern within the Technical Communication and Digital Learning Europe team, you will collaborate with our talented team of Technical Communication Engineers based in Bulgaria and Germany. We are specialists experienced in technical communication, with expertise in structuring, designing, and writing complex technical information in the most understandable way – always with the specific target group in mind.
Our longstanding Bosch experience helps us to support our customers according to their specific technical communication needs along the user journey, in an agile way. 

We create and maintain excellent technical content for various target groups based on a single-source concept, a common language/terminology, and well-defined content delivery processes. Content creation and delivery are orchestrated automatically as far as possible and based on input/feedback from Bosch employees and customers.

Your way into something big: 

  • Acquire unique expertise in technical writing/UX writing/eLearning in real-life and diverse agile customer projects
  • Immerse yourself in the complete technical communication process and gain hands-on experience in group-wide projects that prioritize user needs and experiences. 
  • Work with various tools for content creation, editing, translation, design, video cutting, terminology management, UX writing, API documentation, etc. such as Atlassian, CCMS, Articulate, InDesign, Camtasia, Crowdin, AsciiDoc, etc. Get familiar with contemporary standards and processes like Docs-as-Code, CI/CD, topic-based content creation, etc.
  • Create digital learning content by incorporating methodology and didactics
  • Demonstrate your passion for understanding technical topics, both software and hardware-related, by actively participating in user research, gathering feedback, and synthesizing insights to inform content decisions. 
  • Collaborate closely with mentors to explore learning opportunities and receive guidance on best practices in the various aspects of technical communication. 
  • Work alongside diverse and open-minded teams of software developers, solution architects, automotive engineers, designers, marketeers, and many more, across the globe, embracing both remote and on-site collaboration.
  • Engage with colleagues and stakeholders to discover requirements and ensure that user perspectives are integrated into the content-creation process.
  • Take part in stakeholder interviews, summarize and structure the information along the user journey
  • Witness the advisory of customers on the concept and design of technical content, including target group analysis and information development
  • Contribute to a variety of Bosch products and services, exploring how thoughtful communication can support new technologies and create meaningful user experiences. 

Qualifications

What distinguishes you: 

  • Education: You have a degree in or are currently finishing studies in technical communication, computer science, business informatics, linguistics, media communication, or related. 
  • Personality: You are a team player with excellent communication skills, who is proactive, structured, and with a strong motivation to understand complex processes.
  • Skills and talents: You have excellent writing skills, ability to create clear and effective pieces of communication in different formats (text, illustration, video, etc.), ability to understand complex topics involving both own research and stakeholder input, willingness to adopt different tooling
  • Working practice: You are well-organized with strong analytical and conceptual skills. You thrive in cross-functional teams and approach problem-solving with a proactive mindset, always eager to ask questions and dig deep to uncover insights. 
  • Enthusiasm: You have a customer and user-centric attitude and are curious about learning, digitalization, new technologies, and AIoT
  • Languages: Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken. German language skills are an additional advantage.
