Job Description

This is the senior-most HR role within Power Tools North America. As Director of Human Resources, you will serve as the lead HR Business Partner for the Power Tools (PT) Division in North America (NA) with 1.3 billion in sales and 1,800 associates. You will work in close partnership with senior leadership, and manage a team of HR professionals.

This role is hybrid remote with 60% monthly in-office presence in Mount Prospect, Illinois. (3 days in office per week). 

Responsibilities include:

  • In addition to HR Leader NA, you will serve as the Global HR Business Partner for Latin America as well as the Business Unit Rotary Tools with a global footprint
  • You will define the regional People Strategy, based on a jointly developed overall divisional People Strategy
  • HR Business Partner for the location Mount Prospect
  • Responsible for driving and supporting Business Transformation and Organizational Development, Leadership and Cultural Change within Power Tools NA
  • Coordinate and drive HR topics such as Org Design, Talent Management, Top Management Recruiting, Functional Resource Reviews, Associate Relations, and Associate Turnover, in partnership with the HR Business Partners across the various PT sites throughout North and Latin America
  • Advises the Global PT experts and Country Process Owners on country-specific HR topics
  • Collaborates closely with respective regional corporate HR leads and PT Global HR Business Partners
  • Leads and develops the maturity and competence of HR associates and teams
  • Leverages HR digitalization and AI in region for improved HR efficiency

This position has dual reporting, local and international; target line to the Head of Human Resources for the Power Tools division (Germany) and disciplinary to the Regional President, North America.

Qualifications

  • Goal oriented and results driven
  • Ideally, you have experience in a large, international organization
  • Solid and fluid working experience (minimally 7-10 years) local labor laws - FLSA.
  • Solid local labor and associate relations processes, including experience navigating topics related to NLRA

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Business or other related business degree is required; Masters degree is preferred.

Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization is not available.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $185,000 to $217,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
