Job Description
The position will be responsible for the completion of maintenance activities at the Plymouth and Farmington Hills facilities, but primarily residing in Farmington Hills. Their primary work is to include electrical repairs, electrical equipment installation, and electrical project work. The position will also be responsible for completion of general maintenance activities as well as working with other technicians to complete repair activities and projects on other building systems and equipment, including mechanical systems. The position will participate in continuous improvement activities as required.
Qualifications
The following qualifications and experience are required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in Commercial Building Equipment installation and/or maintenance
- State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician license
- 3+ years work experience with Arc Flash Safety programs (NFPA 70E)
- 3+ years work experience with Electrical Safe Work Practices
- Aerial work platform operation certification (current or prior)
- 3+ years work experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program
The following qualifications and experience are preferred:
- State of Michigan Master Electrician license
- Building Management System operation experience
- EPA 608 Certification (Universal is preferred)
- Previous forklift operation certification
- Variable Frequency Drive troubleshooting and programming experience
- Experience repairing mechanical equipment – i.e. Air Handling Equipment
- Experience working in teams
- State of Michigan Mechanical Contractor License
- Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) experience
