Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Chief of Staff to support the VP Finance (Controllership & Business Finance). This role will serve as a key partner in driving financial strategy, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a deep understanding of financial processes and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Support:
    • Collaborate with the VP - Finance to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals.
    • Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and analyses for executive meetings and board presentations.
  2. Project Management:
    • Lead and manage key finance projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and facilitate communication between finance and other departments.
  3. Operational Excellence:
    • Monitor regular cadence on financial performance metrics and drive follow up actions.
    • Support the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and best practices.
  4. Team Leadership:
    • Act as a liaison between the VP – Finance and team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
    • Represent the Vice President in meetings and discussions as needed.
  6. Administrative Support:
    • Manage the Vice President’s calendar, prioritizing appointments and ensuring effective time management.
    • Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business operations, with a focus on controllership and business finance.
  • Proven experience in project management and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
