Job Description
As an Electrical Control Engineer, you will be responsible for the hands-on design, development, and optimization of electrical and electronic control systems for HVAC water source systems. This role focuses on electrical build, wiring, testing, and validation, ensuring compliance with industry standards while working closely with cross-functional teams. You will take ownership of electrical system design, motor control, inverter optimization, and system reliability testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on electrical build & design of wiring systems, electrical boxes, cable harnesses, and layouts.
- Develop and validate electronic control systems, including motor control, inverter technology, and blower/motor selection.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and optimization in both lab and real-world environments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation (BOMs, wiring diagrams, test plans, specifications).
- Conduct system validation, endurance testing, and regulatory compliance checks (UL, ETL, AHRI, IEC).
- Provide engineering support for new and existing products, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
- Proactively identify and resolve product design issues that impact performance.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, CAD designers, lab technicians, and supply chain teams to support product development and manufacturing.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical control, electronic system design, and validation.
- B.A. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechatronics (Electrical, Software, Controls).
- Strong background in electrical/electronic circuit analysis, motor control, and inverter technology.
- Experience working with HVAC control systems and regulatory standards.
- Ability to communicate engineering requirements effectively across teams.
- Self-driven with hands-on problem-solving skills and ownership of technical challenges.

Salary Range: The U.S. annual base salary range for this full-time position is $94,000 - $121,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
