Job Description
Responsible for the implementation, administration, interpretation, and enforcement of safety & environmental requirements including plant, Corporate, local, state, and federal regulations. Establish safety & environmental standards based on risk/hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE management systems (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001). Review of HSE incidents for root cause and establishment of corrective and preventative actions. Provide technical assistance with various plant staff functions. Coordinate plant safety teams.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Develop HSE related policies/procedures for the plant and drive implementation
- Conduct hazard assessments of equipment/jobs to ensure they meet all applicable requirements
- Assist/lead change management tasks and conduct machine release inspections
- Conducts formal reviews of new equipment, equipment modifications, or process changes
- Develop HSE related communication including training, safety alerts, and production review meetings
- Interact with state and federal agencies and consultants to ensure compliance with EPA and NC DEQ requirements
- Assist/lead environmental compliance and reporting needs for the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Toxic Release Inventory Program, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, etc.
- Improve and develop cost savings projects in waste management system design
- Assist/lead safety and environmental audits of key program areas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Bosch Norms
- Coordinate safety and environmental related communication including training, alerts, and production review meetings
- Work with department engineers to ensure chemicals in use have HSE approval, assisting with the completion of chemical approvals to ensure products comply with TSCA and internal Bosch requirements
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Occupational Safety, Environmental, or other related field
- 1+ years of health, safety, or environmental experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- 2+ years of MS Office experience to include Excel and Word
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Safety and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001)
- Must possess: (1) the ability to identify, analyze, interpret, and resolve unusually complex management and technical problems; (2) excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and present findings; (3) the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information; and (4) excellent computer skills: MS Office Suite Applications.

Salary Range: The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is between $60,000-$75,000 annually.
Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
