As a Software Engineer for Bosch Digital Twin Industries (BDTI), you will be responsible for the development and deployment of the software engineering part of our cutting-edge digital twin solutions. This role requires deep expertise in software engineering, DevOps practices, and IoT systems, alongside proficiency in cloud-native technologies and container orchestration. 

  • IoT & Cloud Integration: Design and implement IoT solutions that seamlessly integrate with cloud and edge-based infrastructures, utilizing technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. 
  • Digital Twin Architecture & Backend: Implement scalable, reliable digital twin architectures, ensuring efficient data ingestion, storage, and processing pipelines that support real-time analytics and decision-making. 
  • DevOps & Continuous Integration: Drive DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring, to ensure robust and maintainable deployment of digital twin applications across various environments. 
  • Cloud-Agnostic Solutions: Develop cloud-agnostic software that can be easily adapted to different cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or on-premises hardware, minimizing deployment friction.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in software engineering, previous focus on cloud-based and IoT solutions beneficial.​ ​​​​​​
    Proven experience in deploying and managing large-scale systems using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python, C++ or Java. Expertise in DevOps tools and practices (e.g., GitHub Actions, Terraform). Experience with data storage and management systems (e.g., MongoDB, SQL, time-series databases).
    Proficiency in cloud-native services (AWS, Azure) beneficial.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. 
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills with a focus on delivering business value through efficient software engineering.
  • Languages: You are business fluent in English, other languages are welcome.

The contractual work location is Ludwigsburg.
