Release Train Engineer

Job Description

  • Guide the engineering teams within the ART to excellence and efficiency by following agile principles
  • Collaborate with ART business owners, Product Managers, System Architects, Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, and others to leads, foster collaboration between them, and optimize the flow of value the ART delivers.
  • Design, implement, run, and improve agile structures and interactions for delivering mobility services
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and coach the team towards continuous improvement
  • Understand, visualize, and manage upstream/downstream dependencies.
  • Help to remove impediments, solve conflicts, and help maintain the pace at work
  • Propose and implement program execution improvements and operational excellence, driving a relentless improvement mindset
  • Mentor and support all areas of the ART using metrics and tools to ensure performance visibility.
  • Ensure consistent agile and mobility processes across the teams, tracking of progress KPIs and reporting to upper level
  • Drive the culture change in the domain “mobility services”

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master and Release Train Engineer or similar role
  • Hands-on experience as Release Train Engineer
  • Experience coordinating multiple teams in a technology environment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in software development in an Agile environment
  • Proven experiences in driving Agile adoption/ transformation for big companies
  • Passion for agile, continuous learning and improvement is a must
  • Understanding of Lean-Agile methods and practices and skill applying them at scale
  • Ability to easily build new relationships and proactively establish a variety of contacts across the organization.
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams.
  • Self-confident and comfortable interacting with Executive Level Leaders
  • Flexible and adaptable while maintaining a high degree of executional excellence
  • Analytical mindset with a highly structured way of working
  • Excellent communicational skills verbally and in writing
  • Strong moderation, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Reliable and motivated team player and leader
  • Fluent in English

Nice to have:

  • SAFe Agilist certification - SAFe RTE/Leading SAFe/SAFe SM
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • German language
