Job Description

  • The software architect will be responsible for setting up the Project Definition of products under mainstream.
  • Responsibilities towards documentation in Arch Tool according to Arc42.
  • Responsibilities towards supporting the customer project teams and provide best possible solutions from SW Arch Perspectives
  • Responsibilities towards understanding the needs for customer project teams and OEM expectations
  • Participate in making design decisions and play the role of a key stakeholder in the change control board
  • Mentor, guide, and part know how of software architectural best practices and enforce relevant processes associated
  • Evaluate risks, estimate proposed changes, provide alternate solutions, and closely work with the development community
  • Maintain the architecture artifacts with top notch quality, keep track of compliance topics and must represent ASPICE evaluations
  • Must participate in key reviews and provide suggestions and solutions towards various aspects of software development
  • Manage technical complexities and must be able to drive, enforce and evaluate best practices with various stakeholders and make process enhancements for the entire development fraternity as needed.
  • Develop blueprints for software development based on functional and non-functional requirements and fulfill the identified architectural drivers.
  • Keep a watchful view on current and future architecture trends and drive deployment of state-of-the-art future technical needs within the organization
  • Must work with multisite teams and represent organization for software architecture with interdisciplinary mindset

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Embedded SW development

  • Good knowledge of software architecture standards, design patterns, architectural style, and technical infrastructure.
  • Experience in object orientation, and hands on with static and dynamic modelling (model driven development skills are a must)
  • Must be able to base software architecture descriptions based on different programming languages (C & C++ is a must)
  • Experience with Requirements management, traceability, and software architecture tools (EA, Rhapsody, DOORS etc.)
  • Experience with micro controller
  • resource management and software performance optimization (multi-core and distributed systems)
  • In depth know how of Embedded systems and associated real time operating systems.
  • Know-how of different vehicle architectures and associated systems (AUTOSAR is a must)
  • Know-how of various automotive standards (involving security, safety, connected systems etc.)
  • Must be familiar with code quality and compliance aspects (MISRA, CERT and other programming language standards)
  • Must be able to execute automotive software quality processes (ASPICE representation is a MUST and a key qualifier needed for this role.)
  • Handle product related variances and ensure re-usability of the software
  • Must have excellent spoken and written English language communication skills (certification in ISAQB is an added advantage)
  • Soft skills to manage stake holders and lead a team of architects
  • Openness towards people topics is an added advantage
