Job Description

Identify Procurement needs

  • S/he is member of supply chain LOS EU procurement team, drives activities from Ovar plant and global alignment projects.
  • Manage the inventory in a supply chian effectively and efficiently, to extend the desired level of customer service at the least cost. “Act decisively, deliver reliably.”

Order Management

  • Define procurement models and logistics agreements with suppliers.
  • Order management (SAP- MRP system).
  • Shortages follow up, backlog report analyses, coordinate and negotiate supplier schedule commitments, define best transport mode for bottleneck items; drive escalation calls with suppliers

Inventory Management

  • Maintain proper material inventory levels avoiding shortages or excess stock.
  • Carefully monitor deliveries and any past due shipments.

Supplier Management

  • Develop supplier relationships, understand capacity constraints.
  • Conduct appropriate supplier due diligence to identify supply chain risk and provide support and guidance to stakeholders (escalation, shortage list).
  • Supplier delivery performance and complains follow up; drive improvement actions.
  • Continuous improvement projects with suppliers to improve relevant logistic topics.

Other

  • Supplier project handling (e.g. Supplier development, special improvement projects – buffer stock set up, e-Kanban, consignment, VMI, etc.).
  • Logistic SAP parameters maintenance (status, MOT, SS, LTB, etc).
  • EDI follow up with suppliers.
  • Initiate and manage supplier’s buffer stock and supermarket and consignment.
  • Questionable invoice handling and RDN (Returning Delivery Note) issues.
  • Coordination cross functions (like BU coordinator).
  • Achieve predefined KPIs.
  • Logistic report analyses.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding and professional experience with Purchasing Contracts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong negotiation, customer service and consulting skills
  • Knowledge of SAP platform (MM Module)
  • Basic project management skills
