Job Description

The Bosch Research and Technology Center in Sunnyvale, CA is looking for a highly motivated engineer to support Bosch research and development, including

Primary responsibilities:

  • Perform regular monitoring, maintenance, and calibration of test equipment
  • Work with equipment manufacturer to troubleshoot and improve equipment
  • Design and construct devices for novel testing
  • Set-up and carry out tests including scripting within the equipment environment
  • Collaborate with experimentalists and modelers in a cutting-edge research and development environment

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemistry
  • 1+ years of experience working with electrical test equipment (i.e. fuel cell test stand, electrolysis test stand, battery cycler, potentiostat, etc.), including equipment calibration and troubleshooting 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
  • Knowledge of electrochemistry, especially fuel cells and/or electrolyzers, and general understanding of thermodynamics and transport phenomena are desirable
  • Prior experience with text-based programming such as MATLAB, Python, Visual Basic and/or proprietary software
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controller (PLC) concepts
  • Basic knowledge of low voltage electrical systems
  • Experience fabricating and installing process piping
  • Autonomy, attention to detail, flexibility, creativity, excellent communication, and teamwork skills

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000 - $115,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
