Job Description

Job Summary

  • rBU Product Purchasing buyer for a Product Group along the complete Product Life Cycle (incl. product relocation)
  • rBU Purchasing Strategy-, Quality and Target Cost responsibility and accountability for the related Product Group(s)
  • rBU contact interface to Material Field purchasing (Commercial, Quality) / Assure aligned product messages for the related Product Group from rBU to the Material Field Purchasing
  • Escalation in the rBU for Purchasing related issues (commercial, quality, logistics)
  • Prepare aligned rBU Product Group Purchasing Strategy for PT-MT/PPU


Job Scope

  • Definition & Maintenance of a Product Group Purchasing Strategy considering TTM and Value Stream targets
  •  Product Group interface from Purchasing to rBU.
  • Leading and responsible for the RPP activities in the respective Product Group (creation,
    implementation, cooperation cross-functionally)
  • Early Supplier involvement in TTM to support Product Innovation and Target Cost Achievement (PILUM, GENESIS)
  • Support Annual Price Negotiation by providing new potential business opportunities of Product Group in pipe-line.
  • Challenge and support Material Field buyers to achieve Best Material Field Costs
     Support Material Field Buyers for contracting (e.g. SE-contracts, NDA, Concept Competition etc.)
  • Create transparency of costs of Product Group by benchmarking (support the Global Product Champion)
  • Responsible for achievement of Best Costs in Product Group (Benchmarking, TCO, RPP) before/after SOP
  • Responsible for Product Group related quality activities (e.g. ISIR, 8D, VQS, etc.)
  • First escalation level for Quality and Logistics related supplier issues from Plant
  • Takes care of purchasing related topics/tasks in the Value Stream

 

Qualifications

  • Degree holder or above in science/technical field (preferably mechanical / electrical engineering)
  • Min. 4 - 6 years experience in purchasing field and 2 years in purchasing/ project/ supplier quality field
  • Understand and apply project management
  • Understand processes of key components and/or related products
  • Analytical mindset and with creative ideas, resourceful, openness and trustworthy person
  • Understand and apply relevant negotiation skills, project management
  • Understand products and its process (e.g.: molding of plastic parts, SMT, etc)
  • Ability to make contacts and intercultural skills
