Job Description

  • Collaborate with sales teams to forecast revenue based on technical solutions and customer engagements.
  • Create and deliver presentations that highlight the commercial benefits of the technical solution, emphasizing return on investment (ROI) and cost savings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their business needs and how the company’s solutions can help them achieve their goals.
  • Participate in negotiations, ensuring that technical aspects of the deal are clearly communicated and understood, and that they align with the commercial terms.
  • Work closely with account managers to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products and services.
  • Assist in the creation of proposals and bids, ensuring that all technical and commercial aspects are accurately represented.
  • Provide ongoing support to the sales team by answering technical questions, addressing objections, and helping to close deals.
  • Educate sales teams on the technical aspects of the products and how to effectively communicate these to potential customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts or through new leads, focusing on how technical solutions can drive revenue.
  • Develop and communicate a strong value proposition that ties the technical solution directly to commercial benefits, such as cost reduction, efficiency improvement, or revenue growth.
  • Analyze competitors products and solutions, define how to position the company’s offerings effectively.
  • Ensure that contracts and proposals accurately reflect both technical capabilities and commercial terms, minimizing risks for both the company and the customer.
  • Assist in the preparation of commercial agreements, ensuring all technical specifications, deliverables, and timelines are clearly documented.
  • Ensure that the technical solutions deliver the expected commercial outcomes, working with customer success teams to monitor and report on performance.
  • Gather and report on customer feedback related to both technical performance and commercial impact, using this information to refine future sales strategies.
  • Support efforts to retain customers by demonstrating the ongoing commercial value of the company’s solutions and identifying opportunities for renewals or additional sales.
  • Work closely with other departments such as marketing, finance, and product development to align technical solutions with commercial goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge in the specific industry - power tools.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with different types of power tools (e.g., drills, saws, grinders) and their specific uses in various industries.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or a related field, preferably within the power tools or construction equipment industry.
  • Experience working with industrial clients, construction firms  in a sales capacity.
  • Strong sales acumen with the ability to identify customer needs and match them with appropriate power tool solutions.
  • Ability to manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing, including negotiating contracts and pricing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical aspects of power tools to both technical and non-technical customers.
  • Strong presentation skills to effectively demonstrate power tools and related products.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to power tools and offer immediate solutions during customer interactions.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose customer needs and provide tailored solutions involving power tools.
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service and managing customer expectations.
  • Ability to manage multiple sales projects and customer engagements simultaneously.
  • Understanding of the construction and industrial sectors, including the typical challenges and needs related to power tools.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours if required to meet customer needs or deadlines.
