Job Description

The Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) Systems Engineer provides support and analysis for mission-critical semiconductors manufacturing systems including the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Advanced Process Control systems, Engineering Data Analysis systems, and Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the MES and related systems in working with Operators, Equipment Engineers, Process Engineers, Production Technicians, IT Engineers, and fellow CIM members.
  • Manage and perform the Master Maintenance functions in conjunction with the CIM technician to maintain quality and consistency for the core MES system and all related downstream systems.
  • Monitor MES, APC, Dispatch, EDA, and CAD systems’ stability, performance, and availability through regular and coordinated maintenance
  • Provide support to resolve unscheduled events and ensure escalation process efficiency.
  • Support UAT and client resources during testing phase to assure that developed solution satisfies client requirements and system stability.
  • Participate (and at times lead) on test data setup for unit, performance (load, stress) and system integration testing.
  • Liaise between the applications/solutions team and the various organizations to capture requirements to develop best-fit solutions for the various aspects of the manufacturing process.
  • Follow defined coding standards, naming conventions, methodology standards, code libraries, etc.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical Electronics Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience with hands-on experience in manufacturing execution and process control systems implementation and operation.
  • Knowledge in identifying, evaluating, and developing procedural and system solutions that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
  • Experience with servers and various operating systems such as Linux/Unix, Windows Server x, etc.
  • Programming experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, proficiency to decipher highly technical data, good knowledge of database structure/query, and strong knowledge of systems integration concepts are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced knowledge of manufacturing execution and process control systems
  • Experience with networking a plus:  TCP/IP, DECnet
  • Experience with Visual Basic, C++
  • Knowledge of Windows client/server, Linux/Unix/Solaris/HPUX, OpenVMS a plus
  • Proficiency to read, understand, and interpret technical documents and manuals.
  • Proficiency to create and maintain operating and training documents and manuals.

Additional Information

  • This role will work on site in Roseville, CA.
  • This position works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary.
  • Travel (including internationally) as needed.
  • Indefinite US work authorized individuals only.  Future sponsorship for work authorization unavailable.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 - $130,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
