Job Description

At Bosch eBike we are developing award-winning products and features for the biking community and bike riders world-wide.  We are now looking for a test engineer with a passion for Python as well as connectivity for placement at our site in Lund.

The Lund teams cover a wide range of technology areas such as embedded real-time systems, communication via CAN, BLE and cellular, displays and user interfaces on RTOS platforms and interaction with cloud backend and mobile Apps.

As a Software Test Engineer, you will be part of an experienced test team that supports two different development teams. We are working closely with our corresponding development teams, and we would now like to strengthen the part of the team that is focusing on the Bosch Connect Module.

The test team is involved already from requirement reviews, and we perform both functional/component testing as well as system tests and currently we are in a push for more test automation where we would you to be an essential part. To be successful in this role you must, apart from having experience of Python and connectivity, be passionate about testing, be communicative and enjoy working with consumer electronics with advanced hardware and software.

Qualifications

A successful candidate must be a team player with strong social skills, initiative as well as a cross-functional mindset. Furthermore, you have a strong drive, a “can-do” positive attitude and you take ownership of your assignments. The work we perform is very hands-on that is why experience of working with embedded devices or similar is a must and you enjoy and have a drive to learn and understand consumer electronics with a lot of software contents.

Personal profile
•    You will be a key team member in assuring and improving our product quality, making sure that we are giving a world-class experience to our users
•    Take lead and drive the automation of test cases for the connect module
•    Ensure Excellency in the testing of connectivity technologies, such as CAT-M1, NBioT, BLE, and GNSS
•    Provide input and feedback to the development of the test framework     
•    Take ownership of your work and facilitate in the maintenance and evolvement of our testing processes
•    Review requirements and groom test ideas both within the test team and with the developers
•    Investigate and/or discuss findings with developers, product owners, requirement engineers and the test team

Expectations
•    Master/Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
•    Strong sense of quality, customer- and goals focus – seeing the big picture
•    Relevant experience of testing embedded systems
•    Relevant experience in testing of cellular connectivity, GNSS, BLE or similar
•    Experience of test automation is a must, preferably in Python (PyTest)
•    Experience of driving your own work while also participating in the team
•    Experience of working with requirements
•    Experience of Cloud Services is a merit
•    Experience of JIRA and JAMA is a merit
•    Strong communication skills, both verbally and in written form, especially in English
