Job Description

The business unit “Video Systems” develops software and IT systems that are the glue in complex and distributed security installations with thousands of cameras. They make them manageable and create customer value even beyond security. Join us on our journey from simple video monitoring to intelligent and preventive security solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like video analytics, face and object recognition, anomaly detection, IoT device management, and more.

You create the next generation of video and building security systems.

As a senior developer you collaborate with stakeholders to determine requirements, you draft concepts and architectures for software components, and you create complex applications on the Microsoft Windows platform. In your daily work you closely cooperate within your team, with colleagues and experts at other locations, and with product-, project-, and local management. Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional software development in various positions, at least C# is required. Additionally, you have experience with agile development methodologies. 

You have specific Knowledge in:  

  • C# & .NET Core/.NET Framework
  • SW design and architecture: sound understanding of OOP concepts, SOLID principles, and design patterns (MVC, MVVM), clean architecture  
  • Server/Client architectures and distributed systems 
  • Web services and API Integrations, SOAP, XML, Rest Services 
  • Unit testing frameworks like Google Test, NUnit, as well as experience with debugging techniques and tools Visual Studio, WinDBG, GDB 
  • Desktop application based on WinForms, WPF, Win32 API 

 

Further knowledge would be a plus: 

  • UX/UI Affinity, e.g. state of the Art Web Frames like Angular or React 
  • Experience in Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure) 
  • Streaming architecture, domain driven design 
  • Network protocols like IP, TCP/UDP, TLS, HTTP/HTTP2 
  • Video over IP, ONVIF, video streaming, RTSP   
  • C++,  C++/CLI       

 

Languages: Excellent spoken and written English skills are a must. Additionally, German and/or Portuguese would be an advantage. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent, higher degrees preferred.
