Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for raw material planning, follow-up of releases with all the suppliers, maintaining optimum level of raw material to control obsoletes and avoid production shortages and downtime. Avoid premium freight costs for transportation. Improvement and optimization of procurement planning processes. Further rollout of preferred supply concepts and contribution to TCT reduction targets and LOG cost achievement.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordination with Sourcing, Manufacturing and Warehouse Departments to ensure the smooth operation of planning, incoming raw material to maximize the inventory utilization and manufacturing capacity.
  • Expedite and reschedule open purchase orders to suit production planning requirements.
  • Review and provide follow-up on orders placed, verify delivery, and maintain necessary records.
  • Provide input in developing departmental strategies for inventory on existing items, new product introduction and phase outs.
  • Monitor raw material inventory levels in a monthly basis, in order to comply with the business plan target.
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate and/or monitor new programs and New Parts Introduction.

Daily communication with suppliers to ensure enough raw material for production

Qualifications

EDUCATION & ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Bilingual: Spanish and Advanced English

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years of experience in planning raw material or similar position.
  • SAP System Knowledge (Planning and Raw Material Modules) is a plus
  • MS OFFICE
  • Great communication and cooperation skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Critical thinking and Continuous improvement mindset
  • Self-directed and proactive
