Job Description

We make machines speak! We are Digital Twin – a corporate start-up using a modular digital transformation solution to create a cyber physical system of large industrial machineries. Join our innovative team to help shaping our global business in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment. Together, we will take human-machine collaboration to the next level. 

  • You design and implement the connect layer of DT-IAPM solutions to facilitate seamless connectivity and communication between edge devices and central systems
  • You develop remote edge management solutions to enable efficient monitoring and management of assets deployed in remote locations
  • You extend Ludwigsburg Lab into an experience center to showcase innovative digital twin technologies and solutions
  • You utilize expertise in sensor technology to select and integrate sensors for data collection and monitoring purposes
  • You implement communication protocols such as OPC-UA, Modbus, LoRA to ensure interoperability and compatibility of DT-IAPM solutions with existing systems
  • You apply signal processing techniques to analyze and interpret sensor data for actionable insights and decision-making
  • You collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and ensure alignment of connect layer and remote edge management solutions with business objectives
  • You stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in digital twin, sensor technology, and communication protocols to identify opportunities for innovation and enhancement of DT-IAPM solutions

Qualifications

  • Education: You have a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience and Know-How: You have experienced instrumentation/software engineer specializing in the connect layer of digital twin software. You have strong skills in sensor/instrumentation technology, communication protocols (OPC-UA, Modbus, LoRA), and signal processing. You have proficiency in tools and technologies related to the connect layer of digital twin software.
  • Certifications: You have relevant certifications in sensor technology, communication protocols, or digital twin technologies are advantageous.
  • Working practice and personality: You have strong analytical skills with a focus on identifying and resolving complex technical challenges. You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Enthusiasm: You have passion for innovation and creating visually compelling experiences. 
  • Languages: You are business fluent in English, other languages are welcome.

Additional Information

The contractual work location is Ludwigsburg.
