Job Description

The incumbent will be required to design, control, implement and optimize automation systems and solutions:

  • Responsible to support Projects and Operations (90%):
  • Participate in development, execution, and deployment of IoT automation Projects or Products.
  • Evaluating products to collect data from sensors and integrate that data to the control system and/or platform.
  • Perform test and evaluation activities on Process Control System independently or in conjunction with vendors.
  • Participate or lead quality or safety investigations and implement any automation solutions resultant from these investigations.
  • Provide training to end users on process control system.
  • The role includes research and development (R&D) tasks.
  • Support the R&D team in Singapore (10%):
  • Improve, propose new and support existing and future hardware and automation solutions.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or similar engineering field.
  • Good working knowledge of electrical and electronics concepts and system set up.
  • Working knowledge and experience with microcontrollers (e.g.: PLC, Relay, Edge computing, etc)
  • Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus, CANBus, EtherNet/IP, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of hardware sensors and micro-electronics hardware.
  • Enjoy building new hardware automation and control systems from ground up.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to engage with users in a professional manner and plainly present technical concepts.
  • Hunger to learn new things and apply them.
  • Ability to scale with new challenges outside of his/her area of work.
  • High energy, pro-active, responsible, independent, self-motivated, and diligent.
  • Caring for team and customers with excellent people skills.
