Job Summary:

As a global category buyer at Bosch Automotive, you will play a pivotal role in our purchasing organization tasked with executing procurement strategies to meet the company’s manufacturing needs. Your primary responsibility will be to devise and implement strategic purchasing initiatives, encompassing the identification of reliable suppliers, annual negotiation of pricing and favorable terms, and establishment of robust relationships with business partners. You will be involved in localization activities in ASEAN and be the key account for all category related procurement in the region.

This role demands a confident individual who possesses strong communication and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate possesses prior experience in the automotive industry and a solid understanding of purchasing processes.

You will be working within a global team responsible for procuring components for automotive parts manufacturing in ASEAN. A challenging yet rewarding environment that requires an accountable, independent individual who operates on their own initiative and can contribute to the company’s mission.

Job Duties:

  • Category strategy development
  • Project sourcing and supplier strategy development
  • Annual price negotiation and target fulfillment
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Collaboration with other departments / stakeholders
  • Material cost monitoring
  • Regional and market awareness
  • Support localization activity
  • Business plan preparation and cost reporting
  • Supplier capacity planning
  • System maintenance and data analysis
  • Ensure compliance and risk management
  • Share technical expertise with global team

Qualifications

Skill Factors:

Education:

  • Degree in Engineering / Business / Economics / Supply Chain Management

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in purchasing (Preferably automotive)

Skills required:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skill
  • Purchasing / Procurement Processes
  • Automotive manufacturing knowledge is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
  • General experience in software tools
  • Good team player with strong presentation skills
  • Good problem solving skills

Communication:

  • High proficiency in English
  • Mandarin / German / Regional 2nd Language would be an advantage

Challenge:

  • Traveling within ASEAN
  • Independent working capability is required
