Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) specialist to join the team covering all aspects of occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance within our organisation.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement in HSE performance.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity based mainly at our Head Office in Clayton, our Dandenong South warehouse and may involve occasional domestic travel, so a current driver’s license is required.

The classification for this role is Specialist Level 2 (S2)

Position responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policy deployment and processes to ensure ongoing legislative and corporate compliance.
  • Supporting the continuous development and implementation of risk management activities.
  • Ensuring that a consultative approach is adopted in the development of all aspects of the HSEMS.
  • Development of Bosch HSE procedures/instructions/Safe Operating Procedures (SOP) and related documents in support of policy deployment.
  • Supporting all Bosch departments to integrate safety systems into their routine operations and provide support, coaching and advice with regard to the management of contractors and high-risk activities.
  • Conduct/arrange and participate in internal audits and support incident investigations.
  • Development of training, coaching, instruction and guidance to line managers, Bosch HSE business partners and operational staff on HSE topics – including lockout tagout (LOTO), powered mobile plant, hazardous chemical handling and hazardous manual handling in various environments including warehousing.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position you are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety/OHS
  • Certification in Auditing Accreditation (OHS + Environmental)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable or willing to obtain
  • Experience in an HSE role / environment preferably or within a similar high-risk industry.
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience in chemical management / warehousing / LOTO
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with an ability to work and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
