Job Description

As a Regional Sales Manager, you are responsible for the operational management of a Team of Area Sales Managers and Outbound Sales Agents combined with the day to day running of a predefined list of National Accounts including Electrical Wholesalers and Buying Groups. You will display a consistent representation of Bosch values and brand attributes with all stakeholders and develop and foster cross-functional relationships at all levels of the customer (buying, marketing, operations, logistics, quality, etc) to ensure consistent positive relationships.

You will be responsible for the development of customer specific strategies (including product range, price positioning, relationship marketing, promotions, training of account customer’s staff) for allocated Accounts to ensure achievement of set quantitative and qualitative KPIs.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Coaching an experienced team of Area Sales Managers, defining KPI’s and profitably working towards the Regional Accounts Channel targets.
  • Working along side each of the ASM’s on a weekly / monthly basis, carrying out pre-planned customers visits looking to maximise our product portfolio profitably.
  • Offer clear direction, tracking and support alongside structured organisation of monthly campaigns for external Outbound sales team.
  • Conduct monthly review meetings with each Area Sales Manager, plan assess and report monthly on business performance and identify opportunities and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Demonstrate leadership, proactively participate in channel meetings and decisions, ensuring timely and effective communication to the business.
  • Business development with the allocated Accounts (sales targets, Bosch share of the customer’s category turnover, in-store and content excellence, where applicable both image and text, search engine optimisation, click-through monitoring for improvements etc.)
  • Budgeting, sales forecasting, stock management and EBIT where available
  • Management and control of User Experience, Customer Rebates and Sales Allowances
  • Establish annually and review quarterly, Account strategy plans containing, but not limited to; Account potential analysis, business plan, structure of decision-making unit, product listings, new opportunities and competition within assigned Accounts.
  • Ensure timely communication and forecasting of monthly business development and product forecasting, both core range and promotional through management of customer activity planning process (for allocated accounts, Outbound and ASM team).
  • Management of Annual Trading Terms process and leading customer negotiations within the pre-defined parameters and timeline. Acquire and maintain a high level of market, industry, competitor and product knowledge and ensure relevant market information is communicated to sales and marketing teams.
  • Manage, coordinate, communicate customer specific pricing, core product range, the entire process of promotional submissions, product positioning, video’s, images and sales marketing budget to ensure correct delivery, maximise return on investment, range listings and profitable growth for each allocated Account.
  • Develop strong customer relationships & proactively communicate with Buyers, Marketing and Category Managers, to ensure excellent service in terms speed of response and follow up, technical information, business updates and consultative business advice.
