Job Description

Your contribution to something big:

Within the Bosch Group, our Corporate Quality department, responsible for Bosch quality management tools and processes worldwide, is expanding its global team in Portugal. As an Engineering Product Quality Expert, you will create and lead a community of engineering product quality experts to drive and leverage quality in engineering through the engineering quality role. For that you will:

  • Build and maintain a network of engineering product quality experts from the Bosch group to ensure up to date directives and governance principles, as well as share of good practices within the different Bosch divisions;
  • Define directives and governance principals for engineering product quality role in the Bosch Group;
  • Establish and implement, together with the engineering product quality experts’ network, methods and tools within the product development process to ensure that risks and opportunities are being openly addressed, and decisions are well-founded and retraceable;
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives to leverage the engineering product quality role with the support and framework from the Corporate Quality Management department.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you: 

  • Education: Degree in Mechanical, Physics, Electrical engineering or equivalent;
  • Experience and know how:
    • Solid basis of technical knowledge in product engineering;
    • Enthusiasm in understanding technical contents;
    • Experience from operational work (product development);
    • Knowledge of quality methods, process & tools (problem solving, 8D Report, management of characteristics and others);
    • Knowledge of engineering methods (DRBFM, FMEA, FTA, DfR and others);
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Working Style and Methods: Analytical, detail oriented and structured work style with a problem-solving mindset. Ability to work within a team environment and to create a good network inside and outside the company;
  • Personality: proactive and autonomous, with an assertive communication style. Interested in continuous development and working in an international set up, with ability to adapt and influence;
  • Languages: very good knowledge and communication in English. Knowledge of German is a plus.
