The Senior Cost Analyst acts as business partner making analysis and recommendations to drive optimal, strategic and accurate cost results during financial periods and scenarios. He/She works in a team together with Plant Controlling Manager and Value Stream Manager for steering the profitability of a Business Unit within a Division.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a Business Unit which includes several products within its portfolio.
  • Create consolidated financial packages for local and regional management with very high detailed explanations, premises and accuracy.
  • Plan/Target/Actual cost comparison: analysis of the cost deviations in Material and Value Added cost.
  • Month end closing: prepare the financial statement for every month and assure the accuracy of the result to present to the Management in the plant. Understand the root cause, analyze the deviations, and if needed check any measures implemented to close the deviation.
  • Quarterly cost forecasting: which are based on current data and facts, and prognosis for the upcoming months of the year, the target is to show the most realistic picture of how the financial result will be for the year including measures, effects, opportunities and risks.
  • Annual financial planning: translation of manufacturing KPIs into costs (headcount, overtime, % of production line utilization, output of the manufacturing line, operational expenditures, new investments, logistics, testing and defect cost).
  • Tracking of KPIs and budgets to ensure that the financial target is being met and perform risk analysis on the operational level. Measuring of external influences such as volume demand and exchange rate effects.
  • Long term planning cost calculation and new acquisition projects quotation.
  • Plant Controlling assistance in continuous improvement project as automation/ digitization and planning of financial scenarios.

 

Requisitos

  • Education: bachelor degree or master in finance, accounting, business management, economics or industrial engineering.
  • Working experience: 3 - 5 years.
  • Language: fluent in English.
  • Skills: results oriented, strong analytical mindset and problem solving, organization and assertive communication.
  • Able to present information and respond to questions from management and non finance audience.
  • Excellent IT skills: MS Office (Excel), SAP (CO & FI modules) and SmartView (Essbase).
