Corporate Research – Research and Technology Center Asia Pacific is a team of international & interdisciplinary scientists, driving cutting edge research to leverage on Asia’s excellent expertise. Scientifically verified knowledge and insights are the foundation of our sustainable solutions. Through our innovation, we develop a vision for the future product of Bosch, evaluate its feasibility, and convert it into practical solutions.   • Conduct research and pre-development of innovative vehicle thermal management systems, powertrain system and components for electrified vehicles
  • Thermal and powertrain system requirement engineering, simulation and design optimization, vehicle thermal and operating strategy optimization
  • Work closely with corporate research hub in Renningen, Germany on project activities and competence development
  • Work closely with business units to supply cutting edge and competitive technology solutions and to transform them to products

Main responsibility includes:               

  • Lead and participate thermal & powertrain system topology analysis, requirement analysis, control strategy assessment, and component design, simulation analysis and validation
  • Pursue technology excellence by contributing brilliant ideas to new product concepts including patent filing
  • Prove innovation concept by pre-development including design, simulation, prototyping, test and validation
  • Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units successfully
  • Manage suppliers and lab facilities for sample construction

Qualifications

  • PhD degree in discipline of Thermal energy & Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Control Engineering. Knowledge on new energy vehicle system and powertrain is appreciated
  • Practical experiences in system simulation, system optimization and operating strategy development is preferred
  • Good knowledge on electric powertrain and components are preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written), German is a plus
  • International education and experience is a plus
  • Efficient, goal-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work
  • Strong documentation and writing skills
  • Passionate for innovation
  • Strong team player; open to work in an international environment
