Job Description

Help shape the digital and supply chain future of Bosch Rexroth: Join a cross-functional, agile, and international team to drive our digital and supply chain strategy forward. As part of our broader digital transformation efforts, your role will contribute to our supply chain initiatives, playing a key part in several strategic projects that comprise the new cross-functional digital initiatives at Bosch Rexroth. Working closely with our internal and external partners in the field of IT and digital, your impact will be felt across the company.

  • As a Data Solution Architect (f/m/div.), you are at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing data solutions that meet the strategic needs of our projects. You will translate complex business requirements into technical solutions and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure these solutions align with business priorities.
  • Your focus will be to ensure the solution (focus on MVPs) demonstrates its desirability and aligns with set business goals, assessing how the data architecture and solution fit within the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Wear multiple hats: from engineer, creating and operating automated pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and integration, to strategist, ensuring that our data solutions align with our broader digital and supply chain objectives.
  • Work with a variety of data types, data sources, infrastructure, existing building blocks, and technology platforms, making data from source systems available for data analysis or business process automation.
  • Implement data architectures that conform to defined data models and data flows/pipelines, ensuring defined/required data quality is transparent and achieved.

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or comparable field of study
  • Personality and way of working: Advanced communication skills, independent, motivated, goal-oriented and pro-active, keen to learn new technologies and share knowledge, a team player with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience and know-how:
    • A proven track record with at least 5-7 years in roles that have shaped your understanding of digital solutions and enterprise architecture. While knowledge of supply chain management is beneficial, we welcome candidates who are eager to expand their expertise in this and other relevant domains.
    • Comprehensive experience with leading cloud services such as Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS), including familiarity with SAP (ERP and S4/HANA, e.g., with modules like MM, PP, and LM) and relevant Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC) platforms. Additionally, a broad understanding of various data types, data sources, infrastructures, and key technologies is essential.
    • Strong foundation in applying technology solutions to solve business problems, with familiarity in areas such as data integration, transformation, and analysis.
    • Experience in leading projects, mentoring team members, and collaborating across departments to achieve strategic goals is highly valued.
    • Familiarity with key data science and engineering tools is valuable, including data manipulation (e.g., Pandas), data querying (e.g., SQL), machine learning (e.g., scikit-learn), and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow or PyTorch). We welcome candidates with proficiency in any of these areas, as they contribute to innovative solutions and business outcomes.
    • While expertise in fields like neural networks, deep learning, and other data science methods is appreciated, a more significant focus is placed on practical experience with architecture, systems integration, and driving business outcomes.
  • Languages: good command of German and English, both written and spoken
