Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible to implement, maintain and improve the manufacturing process, ensure technical availability of equipment in all shifts. Fulfil Value Stream KPI’s: IDC, FOR, Technical Down time.
  • New product introduction, equipment and process definition, acquisition, validation and installation on production environment. Develop process and instructions for processes, write material to train technicians, and processes for maintenance: Preventive, predictive and corrective.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to manufacturing processes and test equipment.
  • Create preventive maintenance routines for machinery and tools.
  • Design and integrate reliable and robust hardware, software, electrical systems, and communication systems for the manufacturing area.
  • Coordination with the Bosch International Production Network for implementation of cost reduction measures and process optimizations in order to achieve planned annual savings and target costs / production line standardization across Bosch plants.
  • Continuous analysis and tracking of cost reduction and standardization projects including ECRs coordination, procurement of alternative machinery parts, planning of machinery upgrades, suppliers coordination and support machinery release.
  • Monitoring of KPIs during projects upgrades and modifications and coordinate measures during stabilization phase in terms of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
  • Deliver training on assigned processes to the service group and other engineers.
  • Definition, acquisition, and registration of spare parts for their assigned equipment.
  • Provide technical support during production events.
  • Ensure safety and compliance in manufacturing processes.
  • Support the launch of new products.
  • Define and implement measures for process improvement, such as cycle time, uptime, and quality.
  • Actively participate in international multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop semi-automated processes in an automotive electronic environment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Digital Systems and Communications Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Bilingual (Spanish & Advanced English); German is a plus.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years of experience, or more, in Test Engineering.
  • Strong leadership, proactive, and teamwork skills.
  • Negotiation and Critical thinking skills
  • Experience in analog and digital electronics.
  • Specialization in electronics with a focus on communications.
  • Proficiency in interpreting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical diagrams.
  • Proficiency in Time management, Budget management, Quality management and Risk management (Quality, Cost, Timing)
  • Analysis and interpretation skills for electrical, SW, and HW failures.
  • Experience in conducting capability studies and MSA.
  • Experience with data matrix or barcode reading systems.
  • Experience with LabView is a plus.
  • Experience in structured programming languages, including PLCs.
  • Database management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience in Vision systems.
