Robert Bosch LLC seeks Product Manager - eMotor and eAxle (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 38000 Hills Tech Drive, Farmington Hills, MI 48331. Drive the strategy development in our eMotor / eAxle product area. Maintain and create design targets for current and future automotive products based on the needs of the North American market and customers. Have a keen eye for gaps in automotive electrification product offerings and the innovative mindset to fill them. Develop Key Performance Indicators for new required products and utilize analysis results of the products to change the automotive product design as needed. Drive product area and customer strategy for North America market, enabling business decisions in regional product area. Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, market trends, opportunities for new acquisitions. Drive requirement management of eMotor and eAxle products, taking into consideration of the North America market and technology trends as well as customer demands. Align product designs and roadmaps for automotive products with the engineering and product management teams in the U.S., Mexico, and Germany. Translate product strategy into high level requirements and communicate the same to the global product team towards new product offering via engineering teams. Work together with the global Product Manager in defining next-generation product design kit and portfolio, meeting North America market needs. Assess competitor offerings, identify opportunities for differentiation. Analyze product requirements and develop implement appropriate strategy towards successful product offering. Plan and execute benchmark activities, track and communicate market intelligence, and share the results of the benchmarking activities with the sales and product management teams in the U.S., Mexico, and Germany for potential product strategy adjustments. Drive the product and business-planning process across cross-functional teams within the company. Lead acquisition as the customer interface for NA region and interface with development team to consolidate technical review presentations, assumptions, cost and timing and present it to customer during tech review phase. Drive the execution of all acquisition product lifecycle processes for products, including product and market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning and roadmap development. Check the competitiveness of the existing and planned product portfolio against the market requirements and constantly monitor the automotive market trends to identify new business opportunities for eMotor and eAxle products. Collaborate closely with engineering, production, purchasing and sales teams on the development and acquisition of new projects. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as an Electric Drive Technical Manager, Electric Drive Development Engineer, or other occupation involving product management in the automotive industry. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Automotive product lifecycle principles, project management fundamentals, and requirement management; (2) Technical product knowledge of electric motor and/or axle; (3) Product and customer strategy development for automotive electrification components (electric motor and/or axle); (4) North America electrification market and competitor analysis for automotive electrification products (electric motor and/or axle); (5) North America automotive OEM customer and systems process and procedures including sourcing as well as product development & release; (6) Product portfolio definition with North America targets of technical Key Performance Indicator, taking into consideration of regional market demands and growth potentials; (7) Product target pricing and/or target cost definition with technical understanding of the Bill of Materials (BOM), derived from external view from the market and internal view from the product.
