Job Description

Virtual data driven development is our mission. By combining our profound expertise in CFD simulation, data science and powertrain engineering we support various business units developing the mobility of the future. To further increase scalability and efficiency of our workflows, we are offering an internship opportunity for a highly motivated individual to enhance an existing automated workflow with machine learning applications to support the development process.
If you are passionate about simulation, programming and data driven engineering, we need you to support our team.

  • During your internship, you will perform a detailed assessment of an existing, highly automated 3D CFD workflow. You will implement new features, user support and code improvements.
  • Enable data-driven development by utilizing Machine Learning (ML) techniques and you will be integrating them into the workflow.
  • You will work with other engineers and researchers, you will explore and exploit high-dimensional design spaces using Design of Experiments (DoE) and Knowledge Discovery (KD).
  • Furthermore, you will be an active part of our international team, focused on virtual, data driven development, supporting different business units developing the mobility of the future, e.g. for H2-applications.
  • Last but not least, you will continuously document and present within our worldwide network.

Qualifications

  • Education: studies in the field of Computational Engineering, Engineering, Data Science or comparable
  • Experience and Knowledge: in Python Programming, basic knowledge of CAD, CFD and/or machine learning a plus
  • Personality and Working Practice: self-motivated, responsible, innovative and team-oriented
  • Languages: very good in English or German

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 3 - 6 months (confirmation of mandatory internship required)
