Job Description

  • Strategic Guidance:
    • Provide strategic guidance on integrating export control into business processes.
    • Evaluate, implement, and maintain policies in compliance with Customs, HydraForce, and Bosch directives.
  • US Re-export Control:
    • Ensure business compliance with US re-export control regulations.
  • Sanctioned Party List Screening:
    • Conduct screening of business partners.
    • Resolve, report, and document matches.
  • Classification:
    • Classify products according to the consolidated list of strategic military and dual-use items.
    • Classify customers appropriately for review: Civil, Military, Unknown.
  • Export Licensing:
    • Evaluate and document the need for export licenses, especially for controlled items and sensitive end-uses.
  • Training:
    • Conduct internal training on export control regulations.
    • Promote awareness across departments.
  • Audit and Monitoring:
    • Regularly audit export processes and documentation for compliance.
  • Annual Export Control Self-assessment:
    • Report and present findings to commercial management.

Qualifications

  • Level 4 Advanced Customs Compliance or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years previous experience in Export and Export Control.
  • In-depth understanding of international trade regulations, export controls, and sanctions.
  • Experience in classifying products under export control classification numbers.
  • Familiarity with software tools for automated screening and compliance management.
  • Effective communication to conduct training sessions and articulate compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of FourthShift or other MRP systems.
