Job Description

  • Provides business with strategic guidance on the incorporation of trade compliance requirements into the company’s business processes. Evaluate, implement, and maintain import and export policies, procedures, and manuals compliant with Customs, HydraForce, and Bosch directives and policies. Promote a culture of compliance throughout HydraForce through training and awareness across departments.
  • Ensure co-ordination of export and import customs clearance through management of Trade Compliance team and external brokers and forwarding agents. Maintains business information within CDS and relevant Letter’s of Authorization related to customs clearance. Ensure business is compliant with document retention requirements.
  • Ensures maintenance of item master data related to harmonised commodity codes (HTS), product country of origin, and export classification.
  • Management of business free trade and preference program. Realizing duty savings opportunities for the business and for the businesses’ customers.
  • Implement metrics and KPI’s related to compliance activities of the business, report to business.
  • Preform internal audit and self-assessments in alignment with Bosch policies related to Foreign Trade.

Qualifications

  • Level 4 Advanced Customs Compliance or equivalent experience.
  • 5 Years previous experience in Import, Export, Trade Compliance.
  • Understanding of import and export regulations required.
  • Experienced in compliance requirements for goods movement.
  • Strong IT skills with particular emphasis on MS office packages and ability to pick new systems.
  • Working knowledge of FourthShift or other MRP systems.
