Job Description

  • Collaborate with development teams to understand software requirements and design effective validation and verification strategies.
  • Implement and execute test plans, including unit tests, integration tests, and system tests, ensuring comprehensive coverage of software functionalities.
  • Utilize C/C++ and Python programming skills to implement, troubleshoot, and optimize software components as needed.
  • Apply model-based testing approaches to validate and verify software models against design specifications.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing scripts, integrating them into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing.
  • Ensure compliance with functional safety standards (ISO 26262) and participate in safety assessments.
  • Analyze and report software defects, working closely with development teams to facilitate resolutions.
  • Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives and the adoption of best practices in software validation and verification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in software validation and verification (focus on automotive software is a plus).
  • Extensive experience in planning, designing, and executing validation and verification activities for automotive software, emphasizing safety-critical systems.
  • Proficient in programming in C/C++ and Python to implement, test, and troubleshoot software components. Ability to analyze and debug code, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Familiarity with model-based testing approaches, utilizing tools like MATLAB Simulink or similar, to validate software models against design specifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety standards relevant to automotive software, including ISO 26262.
  • Hands-on experience in executing validation tests, including regression testing and system testing.
  • Expertise in implementing automated testing strategies using tools like Selenium, VectorCAST, or similar, to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Proficient in scripting automated tests for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • ISTQB Advanced Level - Test Analyst or similar testing certifications (preferable).
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, system engineers, and quality assurance teams.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information clearly to various stakeholders
