Job Description

Our application engineering department is looking for a resource to be included in its team. The ideal candidate has technical-commercial competence, customer focus, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels and strong orientation towards satisfying customer needs.

Activity description (duties and responsibilities)

Review, advise, and process system design requests from the field in accordance with customer requirements and machine applications.

  • Developing custom hydraulic circuits meeting customer expectations and integrated electro-hydraulic control systems within OEM specific electronic architecture.
  • Create circuit and system simulations of customer specific solutions.
  • Review and process requests for new product development, providing technical expertise and advice.
  • Assist customer in trouble shooting when required to identify and resolve issues.
  • Custom projects follow up and successful completion.
  • Develop and maintain productive and effective relationships with OEM personnel.
  • Develop solutions to dedicated markets in support to sales strategies.
  • Budgetary costing for projects.
  • Provide support at exhibitions and marketing where required.
  • Support (application and product) trainings or customer Tech Days on request
  • Support factory or product specific audits, if needed.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Degree educated within Engineering
  • Proven experience in application of hydraulic systems in the mobile equipment market
  • Excellent technical ability in hydraulic valves and systems
  • Strong working knowledge of electro-hydraulic systems related to mobile equipment
  • Good working knowledge of electronics and field bus systems advantageous
  • Previous exposure to or experience in a sales environment
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar position
  • Computer literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft packages and experienced in use of MRP systems.
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment essential

Beside excellent communication skills (English and Italian) with the ability to articulate ideas clearly, share technical information and communicate concisely at all levels, both verbally and in writing, as is the willingness to travel, good organizational skills are essential, with the ability to prioritize a number of activities, beeing able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, to identify and produce the best technical solution in accordance with both project specifications and market price level.

The workplace will be assessed during the interview phase, with the possibility of assignment to one of the three plants (Vezzano sul Crostolo, Pavullo nel Frignano, Nonantola)
