This site is the integral manufacturing plant and R&D Center. It is the first smart factory in Thailand. It will enable us to respond to growing automobile production in Thailand and to serve international as well as local automotive customers on the spot. The supplier of technology and services is focusing heavily on connected manufacturing at the factory.

Manufacturing Plant: The plant is producing two major product categories: connectors and fuel injection units. Connectors are a booming segment with growth potential in the ICE- and EV-market. The factory is also the first plant for the manufacturing of gasoline injection systems in Thailand. It is capable of producing millions of fuel injector units every year and can meet the increasing demand of our customers in the region.

R&D Center: The R&D office and laboratory are located on same site as production. In order to have dedicated laboratory accommodating automotive specific machine and equipment such as fuel testing benches and Noise, Vibration, Harshness chambers.

Job Description

  • Development of gasoline injection components emphasizing on strength related failure mechanisms
  • Perform structural stress analysis using Finite Element Method (FEM) and classical hand calculations
  • Identify structural failure mechanisms of design elements and corresponding critical locations
  • Perform fatigue assessment, give suggestion and work with team for design improvements
  • Collaborate with test engineers to derive SN-Curve and material strength
  • Support manufacturing deviations, perform risk assessment concerning component’s strength to the design
  • Communication with development partners in cross functional teams

Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree, Master Degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Material Engineering or similar

Qualifications

  • Up to 5 years of working experience in product development engineering focusing on fatigue strength failure mechanism or a talented new graduates
  • Knowledge of solid mechanics, mechanics of materials, concept of stress and strain, material elasticity and plasticity properties
  • Experience with finite element method, finite element simulation, strength assessment, reliability concept or similar.
  • Experience with ANSYS/Abaqus are preferred but not required
  • Experience with fatigue and fracture mechanics are preferred but not required
  • High quality awareness
  • High sense of responsibility and motivation
  • Self-structured and self-reliant mode of working
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Interest in engineering process
  • Taking responsibility for working with teams
