Job Description

We have an opportunity available within our service department at our Clayton branch, VIC for an experienced Workshop Service Supervisor who can plan, coordinate and control the activities of the internal Service team to maintain Customer Satisfaction and meet the organisational and operational targets. This role will suit a team player who enjoys working in a busy and fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful applicants tasks will include but not be limited to:

Position Tasks:

  • Service Sales (drive existing strategies, visit customers, sell service products like maintenance contracts etc).
  • Continually strive to achieve operational targets set.
  • Ensure quality objectives are met (Lead-time, NCR, customer feedback, Quality action list, Calibration, testing and tagging, certification, tool listings, etc).
  • Ensure all relevant licenses, tickets, and inductions etc are current (with copies).
  • Ensure Employee Training (competence management) is up to date.
  • Supervise employees, contractors and visitors as required from HSE and Quality perspective.
  • Co-ordinate Internal Service jobs.
  • Release and co-ordinate Service production orders
  • Provide technical support to Sales Engineers and Technicians.
  • Maintain and supervise upgrades of the test rig.
  • Train, guide and support junior staff (apprentice and trades assistants) to improve capacity within the team.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
  • Mechanical Trade certificate with minimum 5 years post-trade experience
  • Proven experience managing a team (Team Leader/Supervisor/Leading Hand)
  • Able to demonstrate a high-level technical knowledge of major hydraulic components
  • Previous experience in hydraulic component repair
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisation skills
  • Effective teamwork skills and attention to detail
  • Some MS Office skills required
