Job Description

  • Creates solution alternatives for development concepts, performs concept comparison and defines the comparison criteria
  • Performs required development, modifies the system (iterations) to improve the test results, performs capability tests and conforms to internal pass criteria
  • Utilizes and teaches existing calculation tools
  • Identifies problems and risks accurately during testing, seeks expert advice
  • Knows / applies / understands information in design guidelines/norms/directives
  • Test champion for performing specific tests, able to teach how the test is done, able to create best practices, creates test result templates, initiates update of infrastructure
  • Actively searches/asks for information from colleagues to understand cause-effect relationships
  • Updates/modifies test plan template with new "supplementary tests" out of experience, lessons learned, etc.
  • Prepares test plans conforming with internal test plan preparation procedure (prepared together with the team, prepared on time, etc.)
  • Critically contributes to technical discussions, able to define and apply proper preventive and detection actions
  • Brings all focus points from the focus matrix to technical risk management meetings, aligns focus matrix with technical risk management tools
  • Includes all the tests planned in the test plan or includes risk assessment and OPL in case of missing tests.
  • Follows Engineering Chang management processes

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering / Energy Systems Engineering background (MSc or PhD degree is preferred)
  • Strong understanding of combustion science, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
  • At least 2 year-experiences with similar position in R&D.
  • Knowledge on Technical Risk Management (S/D-FMEA, DRBFM).
  • Experience with experimental combustion testing equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, result oriented in highly agile environment.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Able to work within international project teams with very good communication skills.
