A BOI promoted Thai-Japan-German JV in major manufacture of automotive part with Worldwide export. Our located in Amata City, Rayong Province (40 min from Pattaya, 90 mins from Bangkok), is a growing plant with about 1,000 employees. Currently products for the divisions Chassis Control, Powertrain Solutions, Diesel Systems and Electrical Drives are produced there. Also pass-through business is handled for several divisions.

Job Description

  • Consultant for lean development projects, enabling and task force in direction of Lean Management and Quality Management at suppliers.
  • Project design based on nominations from other functions like commercial purchasing (PURx), PQT, PPx and Bosch-plants. Align project targets and approach internally and with supplier.
  • Value stream Planning and training of Lean- and Q-methodologies at suppliers (5S, Flow oriented Layout, Lean Line Design, Standardized Work, Quick Changeover, Pull-Principle, PGL, system CIP approach etc.). Responsible for successful implementation and sustainability together with suppliers.
  • Provide structured cost analysis to support Nego, RPP, APN targets
  • Drive the category strategy discussion with internal key stakeholders and coordinate as the interfaces for PSD as assigned category key account
  • Module development as assigned global/regional head-coach.
  • Support the organization competence improvements

Qualifications

Technical / methodical:

  • Degree in Industrial or mechanical engineering or comparable technical degree
  • >2-year experience in manufacturing, quality management, and logistics
  • >3-year experience in leading lean projects independently
  • >1-year experience in project management
  • BPS / Lean background and experience is highly expected
  • Experience in quality tools; 8D, problem solving, 5 x why, firewall/QAM, Six Sigma
  • Analytical and structured working style

Social:

  • Willingness to travel: >=50% of working time outside office.
  • Willingness to work in teams but combined with ability to also act very independent.
  • Very good communication: necessity to interact from shopfloor to Executive level: need to involve the supplier management but also the operator at the machine. 
  • Fluent English language
  • Strong presentation skill in Thai and English language

Leadership:

  • Ability to take responsibility and drive things forward
  • Management of the projects including leading the project members in direction of a joint target.
